A Kefalonia villa holiday wouldn't be complete without a visit to Argostoli Town, the capital, which was mainly destroyed in the devastating earthquake in the 1940s, so most of the buildings are modern, with the town offering a bustling square lined by cafe bars, waterfront tavernas and excellent shops.
Sailing into the underground Melissani Cave, with amazing shades of blue in the sea below and looking up at stalactites and stalagmites at the Drogerato Cave are all part of Kefalonia's natural beauty. Tasting the island's famous wine at Robola winery is another fantastic daytrip on your villa holiday to this magical island.
