From the Spanish border to the Cape St Vincent, the most South Westerly point in Europe, villa holidays in the Algarve have a truly spectacular setting.
The area has a beach to suit everyone and, even in the height of summer, you can find a quiet spot on your Algarve villa holiday, with the Atlantic breeze creating an ideal climate.
But Algarve villa holidays are not just about beaches. The pretty village of Alte, situated in the hills above Faro, is famous for its folklore. Silves, with its Moorish castle, the market town of Loule, and Caldas in the Monchique mountains are just a few of the places that shouldn't be missed. If you enjoy soaking up a bit of culture on your villa holiday, the Algarve's Moorish past is still visible in the unique architecture and its sea-faring traditions are still carried on in the modern marinas scattered along the coast.
Although Algarve villas make a perfect base for enjoying the many excellent golf courses, they are also a haven for other sports, like tennis, horse riding, watersports and deep-sea fishing. Travelling north from Cape St Vincent, it is a short drive to the magnificent undeveloped western coast, a surfers' paradise.
