With variety as one of its main attractions, on Majorca villa holidays, you'll never be short of things to do. The island encompasses old stoned villas, dramatic mountains and wandering green hills, blazing with exotic flowers. The dramatic mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana dominate the west, offering a myriad of beautiful trails for mountain rambles in the cooler air.
Many Majorca villas are located in two regions, Puerto Pollensa to the north of the island and Cala d'Or to the east. Puerto Pollensa was originally a fishing village, and still retains its charm today. The horseshoe shaped bay is set against the backdrop of the Tramuntana mountain range; a wonderful spot to stroll past the pavement cafes and admire the yachts in the marina. The walled town of Pollensa is beautiful, with its narrow cobbled streets and medieval buildings.
If you need beautiful beaches on your Majorca villa holidays, the island has some fabulous resorts. The Cala d'Or region to the east is home to a number of beautiful beaches. With a car it's possible to explore the coastline and pick your favourite.
To tempt you away from your Majorca villa, there are superb local specialities to try, including hearty soups and the local cured sausage.
